Welcome!

My name is Brianna. I am 28 years old and live with several chronic medical conditions. I have turners syndrome, type one diabetes, and hypothyroidism. Basically I am a walking endocrinology textbook. I live in Kansas City and work as a nurse. I also just started a pediatric nurse practitioner program. Interacting with healthcare on both sides has given me a unique perspective on the subject. I noticed in the online healthcare community that there was not a lot of focus on young adults (I’m still considering myself young, fight me). It was mostly parents of the children or older adults. No one talks about the in between What is it like to have a chronic illness in college? While dating? As a young professional? My goal is to share my experience with those things so others can see what it is really like to have a chronic illness and so that those who also have them know there are not alone. Happy writing.
